DANIEL LEE WORKSHOP THIS SATURDAY

This weekend on Aug 20 and 21 we have Daniel Lee from Ten Ten Publishing coming!!
Daniel Lee has been with Ten Ten Music Group, a fully-independent Nashville based publishing and management firm, since January of 2007,  He currently serves as the company's Creative Director. Prior to joining Ten Ten Music, Daniel worked for Island Bound Music, another successful independent publisher.

Though Ten Ten Music is based in Nashville, the company has focused on markets beyond Country music and territories beyond the United States throughout its twenty-five year history.  Built on the success of landmark artists such as Keith Urban and Alan Jackson, the company has also enjoyed significant success in foreign markets and currently publishes writers based in England, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.

Since joining the company, Ten Ten Music has secured cuts with major country artists including Taylor Swift, Martina McBride, Gary Allan, Bucky Covington, Love and Theft, Heidi Newfield, and Trent Tominson.  Also, the company has secured cuts with major rock and pop acts including Shinedown, May Day Parade, Cavo, Halestorm, Michael Tolcher, The Gabe Dixon Band, and others.

Daniel will be conducting a workshop on Sat August 21, at ten in the morning.  He will be drawing CD's at random to critique during the workshop. If you wish to be in the drawing for the critiques please bring a CD of ONE song and a lyric sheet.

The cost of the workshop is $30. You must be a member to attend the workshop. You can become a member by signing up on this website. The cost for a membership is only $50.00 per year.
This is a great opportunity to meet a publisher and find out what is going on in the music world that you need to know! The workshop will be held at our office at 3800 Woodbury, Austin, Texas 78704. The class begins at ten on Sat morning.

There are also private sessions available to have Daniel critique your songs and discuss specifics about your music opportunities.  They are available by appointment, and are only available in thirty minute sessions. The cost of the session is a 50 dollar donation to the Austin Songwriters Group. You must also attend the workshop to schedule a private with Daniel. These sessions always sell out, because it is very valuable to meet with publishers one on one.   Don't miss the opportunity to talk with this music industry professional without the cost of travel and hotels. Call 6984237 or email leeduffy@austinsongwritersgroup.com  and reserve your spot now. The privates will be scheduled starting Friday afternoon at one, and ending Friday evening at five. There will be no privates Sat morning before the workshop. Privates will be offered on Sat between 1 and 5 PM. Daniel will be flying out Sunday morning so there are no spots available on Sunday this time. The private sessions will be held at our 3800 Woodbury location.

The publishers that we have been bringing in for you are established publishers who are very successful in getting songs heard and cut by major artists and can sign staff writers. They are coming because they believe there is talent here that doesn't have the time or money to come to meet with publishers. They are spending their time and money to come and hear the songwriters in Austin. The money for both the workshop and the privates goes to support the efforts of the Austin Songwriters Group.

Please sign up as soon as possible to make sure you reserve your chance to meet Daniel Lee.

THERE WILL BE AN OPEN MIC ON FRIDAY NIGHT FOR ANY PERFORMING SONGWRITERS THAT ARE ATTENDING THE WORKSHOP ON SAT. OPEN MIC STARTS AT 7PM AND IS FREE. EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO COME AND HEAR THE TUNES!
